Job Summary

The Program Manager role oversees and directs the development of new products including next generation commercial and military power distribution systems. The Program Manager requires little or no supervision and works with all of the key stakeholders within Leach as well as directly with the customer. They will manage complex systems integration activities, and will be the program focal point for all aspects of the programs development and success. The Program Manager will manage complex challenges, be a key decision maker and be the ultimate owner of his or her programs.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the communication focal to the customer, maintaining regular follow-ups, status reviews and correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain program plans that identify work scope, schedules, milestones, task priorities and program team
  • Ensures that the product quality, reliability and manufacturability meet the customer and internal
  • Manage the program budget, product(s) life cycle cost, and customer out-of-scope
  • Own and support New Product introduction (NPI) process and work with internal functional teams and external customer(s) to execute the process including providing technical guidance to the engineering team
  • Lead the preparation, attend and chair program reviews, technical coordination meetings and design reviews as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in project or program management including leading cross functional technical
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and military
  • Successfully managed military development
  • Proficient command of English operational and legal language – written and
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of Company customers and management
  • Strategic leadership
  • Strong Presentation Skills
  • PMI – Project Management Certification
  • Travel up to 10%.
