Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, builds pre-designed test set-ups and runs various environmental tests on relay products.  Tests and troubleshoots set-up when required.  Records and interprets results.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Using Leach/customer specifications/designs, builds test set-ups and runs various environmental tests on relay products. (Resistive Load, Inductive Load, Motor Load, Thermal Shock, Shock, Vibration, Rupture, and etc.  as examples)
  • Records and interprets test results.
  • Maintains environmental records and files.
  • Performs other duties as required requested by management.
  • Actively participates in the Quality Improvement System.
  • Actively participates in Lean and 6S initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
  • Understand and live by Leach’s ethics and business conduct policies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of simple and complex electronic measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electronic schematics.
  • Familiar with environmental test equipment such as Temperature Chambers & Altitude Chambers.
  • 2-3 years’ experience as an electronic technician or equivalent technical school education (currently enrolled may be considered).
  • Preferred Qualifications.
  • MS Office experience.
  • Prior environmental testing experience.
  • Familiarity with test station design.
  • Familiarity with Military Specifications.
