Job Summary
The Test Engineering Supervisor will provide daily supervision of administrative and technical issues for Test Engineering and Engineering Tooling Department. The position is responsible for the specification, equipment, methods and control of electrical tests used to qualify, manufacture and accept product manufactured. Where necessary, this shall include electrical test and screening of products purchased for inclusion into product to be manufactured.

Primary Responsibilities
· Direct and coordinates the Test Engineering and Engineering Tooling Department personnel to see that plans and objectives are met on schedule.
· Maintain communications both interdepartmental and intradepartmental on a regular basis.
· Generates and administers departmental procedures, budgets, policies, plans and objectives.
· Directs the design of test procedures for the qualification, manufacturing and acceptance of products manufactured and support as needed.
· Direct preparation of test procedures and support as needed.
· Direct the fabrication of test equipment, fixtures, tooling and support as needed.
· Provide technical liaison to production in support of production problems.
· Participate in Design Reviews of new products, configuration Control Board for changes to existing products and Material Review Board for disposition of discrepant material and corrective action.
· Support troubleshooting automated test equipment systems as needed
· Drives Continuous Improvement (C/I) utilizing the Leach Operating System guidelines
· Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
· Understand and live by Leach’s ethics and business conduct policies
· Perform basic logistical task (approve time cards, participates in personal reviews)
· Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or University in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science discipline
· 8 or more years of experience as a Test Engineer
· 3 – 5 years of experience in supervisory/management required
· Good organization and prioritization skills
· Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
· Understanding of project management
· PC skills and proficient with Microsoft Office applications
· Familiar with relevant Military and Industry Standards

Preferred Qualifications
· A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent additional experience
· Significant test experience in the aerospace industry
· Familiar with aerospace and military standards including MIL-STD-180 and DO-160
· Familiarity with MIL-PRF-6106, MIL-PRF-9353 and Power Distribution Assemblies (PDA)
· Test experience with relays and contactors
· Test experience with high voltage and high current
